We know there are many outdoor programs available to your children, and we love that about the Triangle!
But we have a few things going for us that make us unique.
We know there are many outdoor programs available to your children, and we love that about the Triangle!
But we have a few things going for us that make us unique.
Nature Explorers is a “mom and pop” nature program. We’re small and that’s how we like it. That means that we get to know who you are, we get to know your kid, we answer emails, and we’re always eager to help. Your child will receive the best personalized attention, feedback, and care. There will never be more than 12 kids in a group, and our staff to kid ratio is 1:6.
When it comes to leading kids in a thoughtful and safe outdoor program, experienced adults are invaluable. Our teachers, Meg and Grant, have spent their entire careers working outdoors with kids and they’ve been working together in the field since 2015. They pride themselves on their teamwork and their deliberate approach to behavior management, problem solving, and group dynamics.
At Nature Explorers our goal is to help guide and facilitate kids in outdoor activities of their own creation and imagination. Our staff’s planned activities always take a backseat to children’s natural curiosity and spontaneity. We love to follow their minds wherever they lead us!
When children take supervised and calculated risks - whether they are climbing a log that’s a little higher than they’re used to, catching a crawdad for the very first time, or trying to make a new friend - they are practicing important skills and building confidence. At Nature Explorers we challenge ourselves and each other to try new things and step out of our comfort zones in order to grow and learn.
